Personal Prayer

No one knows you better than Jesus. No one loves you more than Jesus. Both of those statements are true. The one who knows you best, loves you most.

If we are honest, at times, this is hard for us to believe and even harder to live out. This is because we know ourselves. We know our shortcomings, we know that sometimes we have wrong motives, we know our sin. But God knows all of that as well. That’s what makes the grace of God so stunning. That in knowing the worst that we have to offer he still loved us enough to send his son, Jesus, to die on the cross for us.

He chose to die for us while we were still sinners (Romans 5:8). This means that God does not just love the future, sanctified and glorified you, but he loves the stumbling, awkward, trying to walk in obedience you.

As a result, because of the love of God and the sacrifice of Jesus, you and I can approach the throne of grace with confidence (Hebrews 4:16). We can pray to find healing, mercy, grace, peace, freedom and joy. And we know that he hears and that he works all things together for our good.

I hope that today you pray with honesty. I hope that you pray with confidence in Jesus. That you seek him with all that you have, because he promised that those who seek will find. That those who ask, it will be given. And those who knock, the door will be opened (Luke 11:9).

Prayer Works.

Blessings.
